Steve has been reviewing electric pianos on buyelectricpiano.co.uk for nearly a year and has a great deal of experience when it comes to electric pianos and keyboards. I went online to purchase a Yamaha PSRE323 for testing and it was delivered promptly by our supplier. There are a number of highlights with this electric piano first and foremost was how well it was made. It looks and feels robust and made to a high standard. The design team at YAMAHA has obviously put a lot of time and effort in and it has come out really well. It looks great but how does it sound?
The keys are all touch sensitive so you get a better feel out of the piano. It allows you to play soft slow pieces with the right amount of gentle tone. When you start to liven up your playing with faster more aggressive striking of the keys the PSRE323 comes to life with greater attack and volume. To summarise it sounds great and plays really nicely.
The Yamaha PSRE323 has deservedly received many accolades for providing a excellent keyboard for under the £150 price point. Currently at £144.00 at time of writing (July 2010) this provides remarkable value for money. This is very much recommended and I believe it is one of the leading keyboards on the market for people who want something a little better than the average keyboard but can't splash out, or don't have the room for a full electric piano.
